Symptom
Users experience "blank loading screen" issue when using Story Reports which is due to build of cache in system.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors People Analytics
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to Reporting in SuccessFactors.
- Attempt to create or run a Story Report.
- Observe a blank screen with three loading dots.
Cause
Engineering has confirmed that this issue can occur due to browser cache build-up. Story Reports rely on cookies and cached data, and excessive cache can interfere with proper loading, resulting in a blank screen.
Resolution
To prevent this issue, always log out properly from SuccessFactors, especially when accessing multiple instances. Simply closing the browser tab may leave session data cached.
Additionally, you may enable automatic cache clearing in your browser to avoid manual intervention.
