3481641 - Viewing pay statements via SF Mobile App asks for additional authentication

You have enabled SAP IAS as your IDP and when trying to access a pay statement in PDF format in a mobile device via the native SAP SuccessFactors app, you are being prompted to enter your IAS credentials manually. This impacts both Android and iOS devices.

SAP SuccessFactors Mobile App

The SAP SuccessFactors native Mobile app is not currently leveraging IAS authentication directly. Instead, it gets a BizX token when a user accesses payroll information which subsequently relies on an IAS token. This process will require a separate login process, thus a new prompt for IAS credentials is triggered (pop-up screen).

Short-term workaround:

Users will enter their credentials manually when prompted, this will ensure access to the App until the session expires.
Please note this behavior was already present in Android devices. The enhancement on iOS will be available in the Salesdemo environments starting from the 2407 monthly release. It will then be delivered to all customer environments during the 2H 2024 release.

Permanent solution:

Users will not need any additional log in to SAP IAS to open their pay statement.
All relevant teams (SAP IAS, SAP SuccessFactors Mobile, SAP SuccessFactors Platform Authentication) are currently aligning and no ETA is available at present (our internal reference MOB-85140)

Enter the credentials manually when prompted as this will enable the user to view the pay statement.
