3481771 - End Dated Pay Component is not correctly delimited after editing 1H2024 - Employee Central

Symptom

While updating end date of existing pay components and changing the date of one of them, the other one is no longer delimited in the future record. 

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access one user;
  2. On Compensation Information portlet, click on Edit (or go to Take Action->change comp);
  3. Add a record effective on April 1st (or any date), select any event reason and click on "Define end dates";
  4. Select the end date for PC1 and PC2 as September 30th and save;
  5. See that a record was created on October 1st delimiting both pay components;
  6. Now click to edit the comp info again, and select a date after April 1st, it can be April 2nd;
  7. Click to Define End Date again;
  8. Select end date September 30th for PC1 and for PC2 change it to September 15th and Save;
  9. See that the record to delimit pay component PC2 was created correctly, but PC1 is no longer delimited on October 1st, even after manually reassigning the date.

Cause

This is a code defect.

Resolution

Engineering has made the correction and planned the fix for release 2H2024. 

In the meantime, adjust or create the records manually after changing end dates.
