3483142 - Cannot Save UDYAM Tax Number

You maintain a supplier UDYAM tax number. On action 'Save', error occurs.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to The Payables work center. 
2. Go to the Suppliers view.
3. Select Suppliers sub view.
4. Select supplier ID: XXX (XXX stands for the ID of the supplier).
5. Select Edit > Financial Data tab.
6. Select Tax Data sub tab.
7. Add Row and select country India
8. In the field Tax Number Type, select UDYAM Registration Number.
9. Maintain your Tax Number as UDYAM-UP-00-0123456 (UDYAM-UP-00-0123456 is an example).
10. Select Save 

Error occurs: 
Invalid UDYAM Registration Number; enter alphabets and/or numbers only.

UDYAM Registration Number in Business ByDesign should be maintained without space and special characters.

In Business ByDesign, the UDYAM Registration Number should be maintained with number and alphabets only and must be 19 characters. Space and special characters are not allowed.
