3483200 - Hierarchy option in Filter Variable prompt in Analytic Model is not available

Symptom

Unable to select hierarchy as "Filter Variable" for Analytic Model.It is impossible for the cost center attribute to be specified as the filter.

Environment

SAP Datasphere

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Analytic Model in the Data Builder.
  2. Select the hierarchy for filter variable.

Cause

The cost center hierarchy can be previewed in the analysis model, but it cannot be used as a filter in the prompt.

Resolution

The functionality to use a hierarchy at selection of a variable/ parameter prompt is not part of the product.
