3483705 - Backup issue with Veeam Plug-in for SAP HANA - 'Failed to process handshake'

Symptom

Backups are not working and they are failing with some errors.

1. The Veeam logs show the following error:

 !MESSAGE SAP DBTech JDBC: [2]: general error: Backup error: Backint exited with exit code 1 instead of 0. console output: Failed to process handshake. Stream state: HandshakeInProgress. 
!STACK 0
com.sap.db.jdbc.exceptions.JDBCDriverException: SAP DBTech JDBC: [2]: general error: Backup error: Backint exited with exit code 1 instead of 0. console output: Failed to process handshake. Stream state: HandshakeInProgress. 

2. From the backint logs, the same can be confirmed:

backint terminated:

  output:
  exception: 
  exception  1: no.110507  (Backup/Destination/Backint/impl/BackupDestBackint_Executor.cpp:250)
      Backint exited with exit code 1 instead of 0. console output: Failed to process handshake. Stream state: HandshakeInProgress. 

backint terminated:
  pid: 
  exit code: 0
  output:
  exception: 
  exception  1: no.110527  (Backup/Destination/Backint/impl/BackupDestBackint_Executor.cpp:260)
      Backint with PID XXX terminated successfully but its output file '/var/tmp/hdbbackint_XXX' is empty; make sure backint is configured according to vendor specification.
