3483744 - Permission denied on shared folder mount over CIFS/SMB

Symptom

  • The application reports a "Permission denied" error when attempting to write to the shared folder. However, creating a file manually using the <sid>adm user on the same folder is successful.
  • The shared folder is mounted on Linux via CIFS/SMB, for example: //host/folder_name /folder_name smb3 w,nosuid,nodev,noexec,relatime,vers=3.0
