3483882 - jConnect apps using dynamic prepare statement and Read-only connection will get 456 error with DROP PROCEDURE

Symptom

  • jConnect application with Read-only and DYNAMIC_PREPARE=true(default) that issues only SELECT statement with PrepareStatement will get 456 error with DROP PROCEDURE.


     com.sybase.jdbc4.jdbc.SybSQLException: Failed to execute DROP PROCEDURE, because this is a read-only connection. Read-only connections can only execute SELECT statements. Use 'set readonly off' to execute DROP PROCEDURE.
