3484345 - Error during rehire "You do not have permission to edit the value" with Validate Address enabled 1H2024 - Employee Central

Error "You do not have permission to edit the value. Please contact your system administrator" while submitting the hire when Validate Address option is used for employee address. The error can also happen for rehires.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Go to Manage Pending Hires and click to rehire one employee
2. Fill the hire form and in Address section, fill the address and click on "Validate Address"
3. After address is validated, proceed with the rehire and fill the other details
4. Click to submit
5. Error is displayed

• The issue will be fixed in 2H 2024 release which is planned on 14 Oct 2024 in Preview and 15th Nov 2024 in Production environments.
• As a workaround, do not use the address validation during hire.
