3484577 - How to add a custom field on the manufacturing order output

You want to add a custom field, which is not included in the default form template, on the manufacturing order output (Order Data List, Pick List and Order Component List).

For every output type, there is a data source. If the fields you want to add is not in the data source, then we regard it as a custom field. You can add a custom field to the output by the following steps:

1. Create a custom field in the Custom Field app by clicking the "+" button.

2. Maintain the basic information for the custom field on the popup screen.

Among these information, the Business Context is the most important one. It will determine whether the custom field can be used in relevant form templates. Some of the business contexts for manufacturing are:

• Order Master Data
• Reservation Document Item
• Manufacturing: Bill of Operations Header
• Manufacturing: Bill of Operations Operation
• Manufacturing: Order Operation
• Manufacturing: Planned Order Header

3. After clicking "Create and Edit", you will enter the custom field edit screen. Under the "Form Templates" section, you need to enable the usage for the custom template you already created.

4. Save and publish the custom field. 

5. Now this custom field is available for the output. You can activate it for your custom form template in Adobe LiveCycle Designer. Please refer to relevant content in KBA3485035 for the detailed process.
