3484632 - Data Access Language does not correspond to the language of dynamic text based on BW variable in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

After changing the “Data Access Language” in the user profile settings in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) from English to German and opening the Story in SAC, none of the dynamic texts which are based on the BW live variables are in German, all of them are still in English.

•  SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2024.8.10

1. Select Edit under the Profile Settings dialog and and set the Data Access Language to "Deutsch", then save the changes.
2. Open the story based on the BW live model.
3. Set the BW live variables in the prompt.
4. Notice that the dynamic texts which are based on the BW variables from step 3 are in English instead of German.

• The default language of the BW Live connection is set to English. 
• Any language selected in the connection dialog will override the Data Access Language users have set in their user profile settings. 

For live data connections:

• If the data source is translated to multiple languages, do not select a language from the Default Language list in the connection dialog.
  --->  The Data Access Language preference in the user profiles will control which language to retrieve when viewing stories and digital boardrooms. 
• If the data source is available in only one language, select the correct language from the Default Language list in the connection dialog.
  ---> This ensures that the available language is retrieved regardless of which Data Access Language users have chosen in their user profiles.
