3484927 - Secondary assignment is created wrongly when doing termination for primary and concurrent employments

Terminating a CE, then terminating the primary employment (both future dated) incorrectly changes the secondary assignment.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Hire primary userId="testsecondaryrehire" 1/1/2021
2. Add CE userId="225" 1/1/2021
3. Terminate CE future date 1/1/2025
4. Terminate primary future date 1/1/2025
5. Check Manage Data>Secondary Assignment: SecondaryAssignment userId changed from "225" to "testsecondaryrehire" as of 1/2/2025 

This is a known issue.

Issue will be fixed in 2411 release which means no secondary assignment would be created after following above process.

As a workaround:

1. If both users will be terminated on same date, use the Terminate all employments option after Take Action -> Termination, instead of terminating 1 employment at a time.

2. After termination of primary employment, go to Manage Data -> SecondaryAssignments for the affected person. And from History left sidebar -> Take Action -> Permanently Delete Entry (the new entry which is effective as of termination date).
