3484992 - Further changes still being allowed after service order is set to "Completed" post billing in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

Even after a service order is set to "Completed" (post billing), further changes are still allowed.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Resolution

  • This is the standard system behavior in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.
  • A service order is never considered financially closed in the system, even when its status is set to "Completed". Therefore, changes to the service order remain possible after completion and billing.
  • However, service confirmations behave differently. Once a service confirmation is set to "Completed", no further changes are permitted to that confirmation.
