Reproducing the Issue

1. Go to Tax Management work center.
2. Go to VAT Returns subview.
3. Search for Tax Return ID: XYZ (XYZ represents the Tax Return ID).
4. Go to Attachments tab and download the XML file.
The following information is included in the XML-File:
Nevertheless the following information should be included in the XML:
(023456789 represents the wrong UID Number).
(123456789 represents the correct UID Number).

The cause of this behavior is that the UID Number was maintained without hyphens and dots in the Company Tax Arrangement. Check the same by following the steps below:

  1. Open the related Tax Authority.
  2. Go to the Company Tax Arrangements tab.
  3. Select the Company ID: 123 (123 represents the Company ID).
  4. Go to the "Overview" subtab.
  5. The UID Number was maintained here without hyphens and dots (CHE123456789 HR/MWST).

The CH UID number in the Company Tax Arrangement must be maintained with hyphens and dots. Then, the value will appear correctly in the tag. The value maintained is CHE123456789 HR/MWST. We could maintain it as 'CHE-123.456.789 HR/MWST'.)
