3486267 - The updated changes is not fully saved in the calibration session - 1H 2024

The auto-save function in calibration, which was introduced in the 2405 release, may not save the changes made during the auto-saving process.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open a calibration session.
  2. Make changes within this session.
  3. The autosave feature saves the changes. A reminder message will appear to confirm this.
  4. While the autosave is ongoing, drag and drop employees into different bins in order to adjust their ratings.
  5. Upon completion, a notification will indicate that the changes have been successfully saved.
  6. However, when re-opening this session, you may notice that the rating is not reflecting the changes made. Instead, it may still display the previous rating.

This is a known issue.

When the Save Session operation interacts with the backend, any other rating changes during that period will not be correctly recorded in the UI pending saving storage. This results in these ratings being displayed as already stored on the page, but they are not actually stored correctly in the database.

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2024 release (b2411).

  • To prevent any additional problems, we have temporarily disabled the auto save function in DC66.
  • Furthermore, we will be disabling this feature for all data centers on July 4th.
  • To ensure all the changes are fully saved, we suggest manually saving them before the fix. It is a good practice to stay on the session page until you receive the message 'changes saved'.
