3486471 - Ending Global assignment is creating stacked records in Home employment

Symptom

When ending Global Assignment duplicated "Back from Global Assignment" record 

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central 
  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the profile for one GA user 
  2. Manage Global Assignment > End
  3. Input End Date
  4. Input Event Reason and Save
  5. Approve workflow
  6. Check the job info on home country, the Back from Global Assignment is always being duplicated. The (1 of 2) is the correct record.

Resolution

The issue is fixed in the 2H release. The fix will prevent ending Global Assignment to create two "Back from GA" records on home assignment in the future, but it will not fix the records already created.  We need to manually edit/delete the extra record that's already created. 

Our engineering team is working in a possible patch, but not yet confirmed. Once it is this KBA will be updated.
