3486483 - Unable to Create Product Based Replenishment Rule for Logistics Area

Initially, a Logistics Area only be allowed products of certain storage groups to be stored and there are replenishment rules based on for parts of these storage groups.
You then allow a specific product that does not belong to any storage group to be stored in this Logistics Area, but an error ""Material not permitted with product category constraint"" occurs when adding a product-based replenishment rule for this product.

  11. Choose Add Row for Product Based Rules.
  12. Fulfill the information of this specific product for this rule.
  13. Choose Save, then the mentioned error would occur.

To achieve what you want, you can bypass this error by doing the following steps:

Prerequisite: Any one Logistics Unit exists in the system.

  1. Navigate to Restrictions Tab.
  2. Go to Allowed Logistics Units and Storage Groups Subtab.
  3. Choose Remove for all the lines of storage groups.
  4. Choose Add Row, select any one Logistics Unit in the list.
  5. Choose Save.
  6. Delete the information of Logistics Unit in the added line. (NOTE: Don't Choose Remove)
  7. Choose Save, then an error "Enter either a logistics unit ID or a storage group ID; Save failed" would occur.
  8. Fulfill the information of the initial storage groups you wanted with this existing row and choose Add Row for the remaining storage groups.
  9. Choose Save. No error would occur.

The Storage Group Based Rule and the Product Based Rule would both work.
