When checking Accounting 1 tab in "Display Material" (MM03), Statistical Moving Average Price is not available for material with price control 'S'.

The new locking behavior "no exclusively locking" for materials with price control "Standard" is active in the system.

In order to achieve a significant increase of transactional data throughput for goods movements, it has been designed a new locking behaviour  "no exclusively locking" for materials with price control "Standard". The activation of this new locking behavior leads to the deactivation of the statistical moving average price and as consequence the statistical moving average price is no longer available in material master data (MM01/MM02/MM03).

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition it is not possible to deactivate the locking behavior. This is standard design.

Note: The moving average price (periodic unit price) is statistical value and is not important for S price control materials. The MAP is only available after period end closing of material ledger, before any goods movements posted.
