3486954 - Guest User's Quote lost after registering

Symptom

As a Guest User, after creating quote and registering into CPQ system, if browser/session is closed, it is no longer possible to view the quote. 

Environment

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access CPQ Environment as a Guest User
  2. Add item to Quote/Cart
  3. Click on Checkout action
  4. Register the user
  5. Close browser session
  6. Access system as the user and check that quote is no longer visible.

Cause

Expected Behavior.

Resolution

  • Quote created by Guest Users are assigned to "Guest User" user, not to registered user
  • Quote is stored in session and is only visible again for the registered Guest User if session/browser is not closed, meaning that, user must log into the system to be able to see previously create quote under the same browser session.
