3486979 - 'Action CALCULATE not permitted for status Released' error message in Material Cost Estimate Run

A Material Cost Estimate Run finishes with the error message 'Action CALCULATE not permitted for status Released'.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Inventory valuation work center.
2. Go to Material Cost Estimate Rollup view. 
3. Find Material cost estimate run 'ABC' (ABC represents the material cost rollup run ID). created for Valid From date DD.MM.YYYY. 
4. Go to the messages tab where you notice the error message "Action CALCULATE not permitted for status Released". 

A released cost estimate already exists for the chosen validity period. 

To verify that a released cost estimate exists:

1. go to the Material Cost Estimates view in the Inventory Valuation work center. 
2. Find the respective material - business residence combination. 
3. Check the Valid from date: It is the same or in the same period as the valid from date of rollup run ABC, DD.MM.YYYY.

You can find out more about the estimated cost history as follows: 

1. In the Inventory Valuation work center go to the Materials view.
2. Find the respective material -business residence combination. 
3. Choose Maintain Valuation Data. 
4. Find and select the respective Estimated Cost entry, valid from DD.MM.YYYY.
5. Now choose View Cost History. 
6. In the new screen you can see when exactly an estimated cost was changed via the Created On attribute. 
7. Take note of the creation date and then navigate back to the Material Cost Rollup run to find the respective run.
