3487028 - Error message "Tile not found in catalog SAP_CORE_BC_EXT_TST" while checking Custom Catalog Extensions

You have a Custom Catalog Extension with Business Catalog SAP_CORE_BC_EXT assigned and while checking the Custom Catalog Extension you get the error "Tile not found in catalog SAP_CORE_BC_EXT_TST, please try republish.".

1. Go to app Custom Catalog Extensions
2. Search the app ID
3. Click on check button (Righ hand side top right hand side)
4. You will see the error message

The Business Catalog SAP_CORE_BC_EXT was deleted in 2402 release and now, if you have not removed its usage in other objects, it can indeed cause inconsistencies.

The SAP_CORE_BC_EXT_TST catalog mentioned in the error message is used for Extensibility. When you create Custom Business Objects, for example, you can test the generated UI in your Test System without extending a Business Catalog if the Business Catalog SAP_CORE_BC_EXT_TST is assigned to your user. This Business Catalog, however, cannot be transported to your P-System, it only exists in Q-System with the purpose of testing the extensibility objects.

 

Therefore, all the Custom Business Objects are indirectly assigned to the Catalog SAP_CORE_BC_EXT_TST. Before 2402, the Business Catalog that had this same purpose was SAP_CORE_BC_EXT. This is because you're getting the error message. The Business Catalog SAP_CORE_BC_EXT being assigned to your CBO is causing this type of inconsistencies.

In order to resolve the issue it's needed to remove the Business Catalog SAP_CORE_BC_EXT from your CBO. 

You can only delete custom catalog extensions with status Unpublished. 

In order to get the Catalog in "Unpublished" status, you need to select it and click on "Revoke" button.
