3487034 - Refreshing Import Model's data in SAP Analytics cloud (SAC) displays error "Schema of data source has been changed!"

• When importing data to an BW Import model the following error occurs:
  • Schema of data source has been changed! Unable to map: Calendar Month-DISPLAY_KEY error.
• Model based off of a BW import
• BW 'view' has a Time Charecteristic called 0CALMONTH2
• 0CALMONTH2 has description set to "Calendar month"
• Customer changed description to "Calendar Month" - upper case M
• After changing the description the error is displayed

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2024.8.10 

1. Create and save an import model off of a BW view.
2. In the BW view change the description of one of the Characteristics.
3. In SAC try to refresh or do a new import of the data from the BW View.

• The description of characteristics are used as column headers for staging tables which data wrangling uses as IDs for mapping.
• Changing a description will change the characteristic's ID.

There are two resolutions:

1. Revert the description back to what it originally was.
2. Create a new import job and go through wrangling steps to map data.
