3487202 - The Sales Order has not created an Intercompany Project automatically

Symptom

The  Sales Order has not created an Intercompany Project automatically and there are no errors/warning messages for the same

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Sales Order work center.
  2. Go to Sales Order view.
  3. Search for ABC (ABC is the order's ID). 
  4. Click in Edit button. 
  5. Navigate to Document Flow tab.
You can see that the Project was not created. 
 

Cause

The Intercompany Sales Order has an an item which is of the type Fixed Price. The Intercompany project would automatically get created only in the case of Time and Material item type.

Resolution

 In this scenario, the intercompany project must be generated by manually selecting the Create Project in the sales order.

This is a standard system behavior.
