3487248 - CF Application Returns HTTP 503 (Service Unavailable) Error

Symptom

An application developed in SAP Business Application Studio executes CF CLI commands through JavaScript and exposes the results via OData services. During deployment, the application fails to start and subsequently crashes.
The following errors are observed:

Error: No artifact has been found with name <name>

Error starting application: Some instances have crashed. Check the logs of your application for more information.

Download the application logs via the dmol command and check them for more information.

A step of the process has failed. Retrying it may solve the issue.

Process failed.

As a result, the CF application becomes unavailable and returns an HTTP 503 error.
