3487546 - Third Party Purchase Order item is not transferred to Sales Order

Symptom

Item in the third party Purchase Order is not transferred to the corresponding Sales Order 

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center
  2. Go to Purchase Orders view
  3. Search for the Purchase Order and open the items tab to see the number of items  
  4. Go to document flow and open the corresponding Sales Order created
  5. Navigate to items tab , all the items from Sales Order are not present 

Also, the Sales Order contains an active process communication error / a process communication error which was cancelled from the backend. 

Cause

List price was initially not maintained for the Product used in the Purchase Order, which caused a process communication error on the Sales Order. As a result the product which did not contain list price was not passed on to the Sales Order items.  

Resolution

Remove the line item from the Purchase Order ,with the Product whose List price is not maintained and caused the process communication error on Sales Order and save. Maintain the list price in the product and add it in the Purchase Order and then save/order. This product details will now be updated in the Sales Order (only if the Sales order is in In progress status). 

Please make sure to maintain the list price for the product before adding it in the Purchase Order, in order to avoid the issue further.
