3487726 - Open Client: Cannot connect to SAP ASE after updating ciphersuite list - SDK for SAP ASE

Symptom

  • isql (and other Open Client applications) cannot connect to the SAP ASE database after updating the ciphersuite list using:
    • sp_ssladmin setcipher
  • Error messages:
    • CT-LIBRARY error:
              ct_connect(): network packet layer: internal net library error: Net-Lib protocol driver call to connect two endpoints failed
    • CT-LIBRARY error:
              ct_connect(): user api layer: internal Client Library error: Read from the server has timed out.
