An application error appears when approver updates the workflow with some data before approving it for new hire/rehire workflow.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

• Proxy as approver and Go to approve requests from home page.
• Select the workflow pending approval for hire/rehire employee.
• Click "Update" button in the workflow.
• Make some changes to the existing data.
• Click Continue or Submit.
• Result: Application error occurs

Workaround:

Please note when approver approves the workflow without making any changes via update button then no errors and workflow is approved successfully. You may add the same data after user has been hired.
