3487777 - “No Valid Offsetting Acct Found For Source Account Annual Leave” While performing Period Day Closure

In Time Administration Work Center, the Day Closure for an employee fails and the following error message appears:

"No Valid Offsetting Acct Found For Source Account Annual Leave"

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Time Administration work center
2. Go to  Regular Tasks view
3. Select Run Day Closure
4. Choose the employee and set the period closure date
5. Choose save
6. System raises error message “No Valid Offsetting Acct Found For Source Account Annual Leave”

An issue has arisen with a time account (ZZZZZZ) for YYYY1, where the balance that should carry forward to YYYY2 is encountering an error due to the absence of a designated target account. [ZZZZZZ refers to the Time account]

• Add a target account in YYYY2 then the Balance will be carry forwarded from YYYY1 to YYYY2.
• Then try to perform period day closure.

Steps to be performed: -

1. Go to Time Administration work center
2. Go to Employee view
3. Choose Emp ID
4. Go to Time Profile tab [Select start and end date of DD.MM.YYYY2 to DD.MM.YYYY2]
5. Go to time account Rules
6. Add row
7. Time Account (ZZZZZZ)
8. Go to period end rules and select adjust rules then change the First rule Posting type to set to zero and save.
9. 

Now check the Time Account Balances there will be a new Annual leave YYYY2 account added will the carry forward balance.

Steps to perform day closure run: -

1. Go to Time Administration work center
2. Go to Regular tasks view
3. Select Run day closure for one employee
4. Give employee name and
5. Choose action “set period closure date.”
6. Give date DD.MM.YYYY1 and save.
7. Repeat the same action give date as

• DD.MM.YYYY2[Last year’s Jan Month] save.
• DD.MM.YYYY2[last year’s Dec month] save.
• DD.MM.YYYY3 [Current Date] save.
