3487949 - Additional Onboarding Tasks Not Visible for Candidates - Onboarding

Symptom

  • In the Onboarding Dashboard, a custom task is assigned to the candidate under New Hire Tasks.
  • The task is marked as Optional.
  • However, when logging in as the candidate, the optional custom task is not visible.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Onboarding Dashboard
  2. Select the impacted candidate profile
  3. Under New Hire Tasks, verify the optional custom task is assigned.
  4. Log in as the candidate
  5. Navigate to Onboarding
  6. Observe that the optional custom task is not visible.

Cause

Expected system behavior.

Resolution

This is expected system behavior. Optional onboarding tasks are not visible to external users. Only mandatory tasks are displayed to external candidates.

Possible options:

  • Option 1: Set the task to Mandatory if it should be visible to the candidate.
  • Option 2: Once the candidate becomes an active internal user, the task will be visible on the Home page.
