3490490 - Fields 'Functional Area' and 'Project' checkbox are not editable in Configuration Define Consolidation Master Data Fields

Business wants to enable Consolidation master Data fields 'Functional Area' and 'Project' for the option of 'aggregate data on Release', but these are by default got deactivated (grayed out).

The project is a superordinate field of WBS Element (External ID). The project can't be aggregated on data release, when the WBS element isn't aggregated on data release also.

Setting the flag ‘Aggregate on Data Release’ for WBS Element and press ‘Enter’. Then this checkbox will become ‘input enabled’ for Project automatically.

It isn't supported to set ‘aggregate on data release’ for functional area. The reason is that the functional area is also a sender field for subitems and therefore needed. The same rule applies for transaction type (subitem category 1). This fields also can't be aggregated.

Summary: Works only for Project, if WBS Element is aggregated also.
