3490507 - Update Status Field of Case by Using Case Process Flow.

Symptom

To update the Status of a Case automatically when progressing though the Case Process Flow, follow the below mentioned steps.

Environment

SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Resolution

This can be done by creating an Assignment in the second step of the Case Flow to update the Status.

  1. Go to Setting.
  2. Case Settings.
  3. Open Case Type 
  4. Open New Version of Case Type.
  5. Open Case Flow.
  6. In the second step add an Assignment.
  7. In the actions set Status Code to In Process.

Since steps execute in parallel, if the Status update is wanted after phase 1, then this should be the only step in phase 2. The Agent wont see it and will be automatically taken to phase 3.
