3490550 - How to Identify Case Creation Channels

Symptom

It is possible to display the name of the Email Channel used for Case creation in the Case object. The field can be added via Adaptation Mode.

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2

Resolution

See steps below to enable:

  1. Go to Case.
  2. Open a Case.
  3. Enable Adaptation Mode.
  4. In Case details select the pencil.
  5. Select Add from List .
  6. Search Channel.
  7. There is the option to either add the Channel Name or Address.
