Symptom

Getting error: 'Objects CUBE:<CUID Value> might already be deleted or did not exist in the system' when importing a package using content network in SAP Analytics Cloud(SAC)

Environment

SAP ANALYTICS CLOUD  2024.2.21

 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAC source tenant
  2. In source tenant, go to Transport-> Export
  3. Choose the file to be exported
  4. Check if all dependencies are selected automatically, and beside the models check the "data" option.
  5. Click Next
  6. Give any name to your export and add the destination/target tenant URL and choose the correct landscape and access.
  7. Click Ok
  8. Click on the destination tenant URL and click Next and Export.
  9. Notice that the Export is successful.
  10. Now login to SAC destination/target tenant
  11. Go to Transport-> Import
  12. Search for the exported file name and click on it
  13. Go to 'Import options' and choose 'Overwrite objects and data'
  14. Click on Import
  15. Notice that the import fails
  16. When checking the import summary, getting error :"Objects CUBE:<CUID Value> might already be deleted or did not exist in the system"

Cause

One of the dependencies which is of object 'Theme' is not present while exporting the package.

Resolution

Select the missing dependency of object 'Theme' while exporting the package from source tenant and re-import this newly exported package in the target tenant.
