3490582 - Stories can not be imported with package file during Neo to CF migration SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

During import name.package file from NEO to CF tenant, stories can not be imported. The following error message occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Uploading name.package was not completed due to an error
• Uploading name.package failed
• CUBE:long-digits might already be deleted or did not exist in the system

SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2024.8.16

Export content from the source tenant using:

1. From the side navigation, choose  Transport    Export.
2. Include all dependencies on the New Export page.

Import content to target tenant using:

1. In the side navigation area, choose  Transport    Import.
2. Try to import the package. 
3. Notice the error messages. 

• • Uploading name.package was not completed due to an error
  • Uploading name.package failed
  • CUBE:long-digits might already be deleted or did not exist in the system

• Import fails in target tenant because story can't be imported without its dependencies.
• Therefore, you need to include these in your export package.
• These dependencies (CUBE:long-digits) are in Private User folders in the source tenant; hence the dependent model is not selected in New Export screen when Story was selected.

There are 2 possible way to solve this issue:

Solution 01:

• In Source tenant, move all dependencies from Private Folder to PUBLIC folder,
• Then select the Story to create new Export (Dependent models should be auto selected). 
• Import the package to target should work.

Solution 02:

• You can list and select Private User objects during export. In order to that, System > Administration > System configuration > System Admin toggle "Allow private objects export" turn on (disabled by default).  
• On enabling this toggle, "USERS" section will be viewed on New Export screen where all Private User objects are listed. 
• Select the Story and verify Dependent models are selected. Create new export and import in target should work.
