Resolution
The HANA Cloud Database data cannot be backed up by customers. There is an internal backup process happening for the HANA Cloud DB but that is specifically for SAP disaster recovery. This is documented under SAP Help Portal Documentation: System Backup and Recovery. To learn more on the HANA cloud DB backup procedure you can go through SAP Help Portal Documentation: HANA Cloud Backup and Recovery. There is no process currently that enables the Datasphere customers to request a restore of the Datasphere tenant or the tenant DB. However, there is Object backup available for the customer in Datasphere.
- In case customer has another Datasphere tenant, they could import/export objects:
SAP Help Portal Documentation: Exporting Content for Sharing with Other Tenants - Another option to export the object's metadata in to CSN file:
SAP Help Portal Documentation: Exporting Objects to a CSN/JSON File
