3491540 - After takeover to a new primary site completed, the existing secondary site got registered with a different replication mode.

Symptom

  • In a multi-target system replication below, a takeover happened from SiteA(Primary) to SiteC(DR). For example,
    • SiteA(Primary) -> SYNCMEM/logreplay -> SiteB(Secondary)
    • SiteA(Primary) -> ASYNC/logreplay -> SiteC(DR)
  • After SiteC(DR) becomes a new primary site, SiteB(Secondary) got registered with the new primary site 'SiteC' with SYNCMEM replication mode, not ASYNC which DR site was using before the takeover.
