3491918 - Issue when Excel changes the data type from "Date" to "Text" in XML template - Migration Cockpit (Staging)

Opening an XML template file using Microsoft Excel results in fields that should have the data type "Date" now having the data type "Text".

Entering data in such fields and then uploading the file to the migration cockpit results in the upload failing, as the original template data type "Date", expected by the migration cockpit, is now the data type "String".

The upload action fails with the following error messages during validation:

• Incorrect data type for field "<field>" in row <no.> of sheet "<structure>". Type Date expected. (Message no. CNV_DMC_MD_EXTRACTOR 034)
