3492009 - Text variable is not replaced when the characteristic does not have text

Symptom

A text variable (processed by Replacement Path) which is used in a BW query is not replaced. The error message BRAIN 612 "Text variable XXX in '' cannot be replaced - value is not unique" is displayed. The characteristic the variable is based on does not have texts. It might happen that the issue occurs after an upgrade from a BW system with a release older than BW 7.5 to a current BW release.
