3492893 - Business Partner Relationship Replication Failure with Null Pointer Exception

For the  Business Partner Relationship Confirmation Message (sap.crm.md.integrationmetadataservice.entity.businessPartnerRelationshipS4ConfirmationMessageIn), which refers to Inbound message from S/4Hana to C4C for the confirmation is getting failed with the error:

"Marking current message request ERROR due to unexpected error with message null thrown from mapper."

SAP Sales Cloud Verision 2

S/4Hana

1. Open an Account 
2. Create a new contact for the account
3. Observe in message monitoring, the outbound business partner relationship is successfully passed to S4
4. However, the confirmation of business partner replication sent from S4 fails in v2, with mentioned error.

Similarly, when contact person is added to account in S4H, the inbound message business partner relationship message fails in V2.

The replication is failing since there is no value mapping assigned to the communication configuration. 

1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Communication Configuration
3. Open Integrate Master Data with SAP S/4HANA
4. Ensure you have maintained the Value Mapping Group according to your Mapping Group definition in the Value Mapping configuration.
