Symptom

Error occurs when trying to create PIR in app Create PIRs (MD61)
Error : 6P854 "No planning profile maintained for material &".

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Cause

The material is maintained as configurable material.

The strategy group other than P6 is maintained and due to which, the requirement type is not allowed to create PIR.

Resolution

Change the strategy group to strategy P6 (requirement type VSEP) for configurable materials.
The creation of PIRs is only allowed in an inactive version. Based on that the PIRs will not be relevant for MRP planning but can be planned for example by pMRP.
