There is no placeholder for Case ID in Template configuration.

SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud Version 2 1.0

1. Go to Settings.
2. Go to Templates.
3. Create a Template for Case.
4. There is no placeholder listed for Case ID.

The placeholder for Case ID is called Display ID in the placeholder list.

The correct placeholder is {{displayId}}.

To populate the Case ID in a Template use the following placeholder {{displayId}}.
