3494020 - Library price filter is not respected

Library search results contain items or classes with a price higher than the established limit when the price filter is applied.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Log into HCM > navigate to Learning >
2. Go to Browse Library > Browse All >
3. Scroll to the Price filter, enter "Up to x", and click Apply >
4. Note the results shows items whose price exceeds the filter >
5. Navigate to Learning Administration > Learning Activities > Items > open the affected item and verify the listed price (confirm it is higher than x) >
6. Check the item’s Purchasing setting (e.g., Charge to Buyer’s Authorized Account Code) >
7. Open the corresponding class and verify its Pricing and Purchasing configuration >
8. In Library, confirm the library where the item and class are published shows the same price of x >
9. In Finance > Master Inventory, open the master record for the item and verify the price there matches and the item is published in library.

The filter is only applied to the actual price and not the estimated price.

Course prices are shown as “Estimated” in the search library when the “Class Can Override Item Prices” option is enabled at the item level (under the item's Pricing tab). If this option is not enabled, the system displays either “Free” or the actual price and currency.

This filter is for the actual price not the estimated price. It is the current system design that the estimated prices show even if the estimated price is more than the amount in the filter. 

The “Up to” price filter only evaluates actual prices if they are displayed in the library. This means that if a course has an estimated price in the search results, it will not be filtered out—even if its value appears higher than the filter applied.

The product manager for this feature has confirmed that this is expected behavior, as estimated prices may not represent the final amount, and therefore should not be excluded by price filters.
