3494117 - Is it possible to change background element id?

Symptom

Is it possible to change the background element ids and how?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Employee Profile

Reproducing the Issue

1. Go to Manage Business Configuration

2. Find the background element

3. Click on Take Action and Id field is not editable

Cause

It is not supported to change background element Id for existing data from Admin UI or backend.

Resolution

Please export the exiting data and import the exported data into a new background element with the desired id.

1.Create a new background element

2.Export old background information via Export Extended User Information

3.Change exported csv file's background id to new id, and import via "Import Extended User Information"

4.Confirm data has been uploaded for new background element and re-import blank background element to delete the old data
