3494322 - How to disable Smart Insights from Widget in Classic Story in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• While converting classic story to Optimized Design Experience(ODE), a warning message appears:
  • "Unsupported and Will Be Added at a Later Time
    • Smart Insights"

SAP Analytics Cloud Enterprise

1. Login to SAC.
2. Open Classic Design Story.
3. Convert story to ODE.
4. Notice warning message:
   • "Unsupported and Will Be Added at a Later Time
     • Smart Insights"
5. After conversion, widgets that had Smart Insight enabled become blank : "This widget cannot be loaded in optimized design mode".

Smart Insights are currently within the Unsupported Features in ODE: About Optimized Story Experience Restrictions - Unsupported Features: Visualizations

Disable smart insights from charts before converting to ODE:

• In Edit mode, select the Widget.
• Open Menu (...) on the top right.
• Select Show/Hide.
• Select Footer.
• Notice that Footer with Smart insights (a text) will be added in the footer.
• Select the footer.
• Delete footer.
• Hide footer.
