3494342 - Internal Hire error when adding new pay components when initiating from RCM

Customer faces an error when initiating Internal Hire:

 "Only one Pay Component can be assigned with the value of Used for Comp Planning as COMP or BOTH" when updating Pay Components in SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.

There are two scenarios in this case:

Scenario 1:

• When onboarding is initiated for a candidate who had an existing pay component (with used for comp planning = Comp) and passed a different pay component with the new internal hire employment (with used for comp planning set = both)->The candidate was successfully initiated.

Scenario 2:

• When onboarding is initiated for a candidate who had an existing pay component (with used for comp planning = Comp)
• In this use case onboarding is initiated with 2 different pay components passing from RCM to ONB.
  1 Pay Component has the field used for comp planning = Comp and the other Pay Component has the field used for comp planning = Both.
• And the error observed is “payComponentRecurring : Only one Pay Component can be assigned with the value of ‘Used for Comp Planning’ as ‘COMP’ or ‘BOTH’. PayComponent XXX already has this set.” 

• Scenario 1 is successful because only one Pay Component is assigned with the value of ‘Used for Comp Planning’ as ‘COMP’ or ‘BOTH’ 
• In Scenario 2, since onboarding is initiated with 2 different pay components passing from RCM to ONB, this error is expected.

• You cannot have 2  different pay components at the same time slice (new start date of crossboardee) with comp planning = Comp and comp planning = Both.
• Kindly send only 1 record - > "Comp planning = Comp" or "Comp planning = Both" from RCM while initiating onboarding for internal hire.
