3494701 - ECLocalElementConfig Error:external code or business key column is not defined while using Configuration Transport Center tool

Symptom

Error when we do homeaddress configuration transport from source instance to target instance via Configuration Transport Center: external code or business key column is not defined.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

1. In source instance, 

Configuration Transport Center>Country/Region-Specific HRIS Elements>tick checkbox for homeAddress_JPN(take JPN as an example) and Add to New Bundle>Initiate Transport

2. In target instance,

Configuration Transport Center> Transport Requests>Imports> from Actions, Validate and Import Bundle

3. Import/Validation Completed With Errors, and we can see error:

ECLocalElementConfig Error external code or business key column is not defined

Cause

This is a known bug as some of the MDF object definitions related to Localised HRIS Element are inactive. 

Resolution

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed on 2H 2024 release (b2411).
