3495099 - Error while changing Internal indicator for Fixed Asset Settings in the Set of Books Activity

Error 'Set of books AA, company 123: journal entries already exist' occurs while trying to change the Internal indicator for Valuation View ID in the Set of Books activity.

Note:

AA refers to the Set of Books ID

123 refers to the Company ID

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to the Overview view.
3. Find activity Set Of Books and click Open.
4. Select the Set of Books ID AA.
5. Click Edit and navigate to the Fixed Asset Settings tab.
6. An internal flag is already set for a Valuation View.
7. Remove the internal flag from the current Valuation View and set it for another Valuation View.
8. Click Save.
9. Error 'Set of books AA, company 123: journal entries already exist' occurs.

Journal Entries already exists for Set of Books AA and Company 123. It is not possible to change the 'Internal' indicator even if postings are reversed or fixed assets are retired.

Changes to a set of books can only be made if there are no existing journal entries in that set of books. If journal entries exist, you can only change settings that are not specific to accounting principles.
