Symptom
1. After changing working hours in maintenance order, final due date doesn't update automatically
2. The final due date of an maintenance order generated from a maintenance plan is not calculated correctly
3. Need to add write restriction on final due date field
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
1. Enter app 'Create Maintenance Order' or 'Change Maintenance Order', change working hours in Operation and click Save. Final Due Date of maintenance order is not updated.
2. After maintenance order generated from maintenance plan, Final Due Date of maintenance order is not expected.
3. User has business role 'SAP_BR_MAINTENANCE_PLANNER' or 'SAP_BR_MAINT_SUPERVISOR' or 'SAP_BR_MAINTENANCE_TECHNICIAN' is able to edit Final Due Date, need to add restriction on this field.
Cause
The final due date is calculated based on the factory calendar, current date, the duration, and the unit of measure. If factory calendar is not maintained for the plant, then the system looks for the factory calendar of the main work center.
Resolution
1. Open Configuration activity 102583 Define Priorities for Each Priority Type, enter the priority, priority text, duration for final due date, and the unit of measure. Based on these details, the final due date is determined and displayed when assigning a priority to a maintenance order or a maintenance notification.
2. The final due date unit of measure defines the duration by which the maintenance activity should be completed and can be in hours, days, weeks, and months.
3. If it is needed to add restriction on edit/display final due date, use restriction field 'CO_VRGNG' (CO Business Transaction), add value 'LACD' for Write or Read access. This restriction field is used by restriction type 'CO_VRGNG' (Business Transaction in Controlling).
