3495224 - Posting Key 15 & 25 is not supported in Post Journal Entry API - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

Issue with Journal Entry Post API:

  • Posting Key 21 = Credit Memo is generated instead of Posting Key 25 = Outgoing Payments. 
  • Posting Key 11 instead of 15 is used when posting a Customer Payment

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

Posting key 15 & 25 is currently not supported in API Journal Entry - Post.

For the generated journal entry, the posting keys are restricted as follows:

Item node, ProductTaxItem node,  WithholdingTaxItem node
	Debit entry
	40   Debit entry
	Credit entry

	Credit entry
	11   Credit memo
	CreditorItem node
	Debit entry
	21   Credit memo
	Credit entry
	31   Invoice
