3495724 - Unavailability of Data Extraction View for Custom CDS View External API in SAP S/4HANA Cloud

You're trying to add a CDS View as data source when creating a Custom CDS View of type "External API" and it's not available, even after removing all default filters.
The View Browser shows it as "Released"
The View is of type "Data Extraction"

SAP S/4HANA Pubic Cloud Edition

1. Open Custom CDS Views.
2. Create a View of type External API.
3. Search for the view
4. Remove all filters.
5. No results found.

The CDS Views with Data Extraction type are only defined for data extraction purpose. It’s only allowed to be the data source of Custom CDS View for data extraction.

If it’s required for other scenarios (e.g., external API, standard custom view), more supported capabilities need to be added in the model which need to be submitted via a feature request.
